For twenty years, David has dedicated his career to learning how to effectively run, grow and manage small to mid-sized businesses in the telecommunications, financial services, insurance and technology verticals.  David has worked with many different kinds of people throughout his career and as a result feels very comfortable working along-side executive level and non-executive level Board members, shareholders, partners and employees.  Prior to founding Byron Ventures in 2007, David was the Chief Operating Officer and Secretary of the Board of TRANZACT (www.tranzact.net), a mid-sized marketing services and technology company.  At TRANZACT, David worked with the executive team to profitably manage and grow a company of approximately 200 employees.  David’s main responsibilities were to oversee human resources, administration, legal, operations, merger and acquisition due diligence and integration.

Prior to TRANZACT, David spent 15 years developing his entrepreneurial business acumen, specifically his ability to manage human beings as employees and partners, attention to details, organization, corporate structure, human resources, legal expertise and finance.  As a result, David has a unique ability to combine a relentless pursuit of detail with a clear understanding of overall strategy, goals and objectives and the big picture.

David graduated from The Colorado College in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and proceeded to earn his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1996.

David lives in northern New Jersey with his two children.  He continues to stay active by working out, running, rollerblading and playing hockey.  David enjoys supporting and being involved with The All Stars Project (www.allstars.org) and has enthusiastically done so since 1997.
